Waikato Draught Tough Guy & Gal Challenge

So you're tough, but are, you tough enough to take on the original Waikato Draught Tough Guy and Gal Challenge? This unique off-road running event continues to grow in popularity and status. Get down and dirty while you tackle the course that includes water trails, a spider's web net climb, mud slide, crawl under barbed wire, beautiful native bush trails, swamp crossings and more mud. The course has been designed with an array of natural and man-made obstacles for you to conquer and have one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
The event is open to male and female competitors aged 14years and older. The full course is 12km; however a social 6km option is also available.
Grab your friends, workmates or family together and head to Rotorua for a truly amazing weekend.

New Zealand's most popular MTB Race Series on some of the world's finest single track.
Events designed by mountain bike owners for ALL mountainbike bike owners. These are classic, old-school style MTB races over one lap of challenging terrain in the world-renowned Whakarewarewa trail network.
All courses will take riders into the trail network and beyond with a great mix of uphill and downhill over forest roads and single track.

Written especially for Bobby Crush by respected British Playwright Julian Woolford, this hilarious one man - one piano show is an imagining of Liberace's impact on Heaven following his untimely demise on February 4 1987. 'Mr Showmanship' arrives at the gates of Heaven and GOD tells him that he needs to play a little Gershwin before the angels decide if he enters or not. Don't miss the inclusion of hilarious voice-overs of God and St. Peter by special surprise guests!
This is the synopsis of Julian Woolford's latest comedy musical which offers the award winning UK PIANO ENTERTAINER AND ACTOR BOBBY CRUSH the unique chance to bring back on stage the legendary LIBERACE in a devilishly outrageous show, with, of course, heavenly piano playing!

This major event for the Western Bay of Plenty region is co-ordinated by the Kiwanis Club of Roto Whenua. NIWA is the major sponsor and judging is overseen by members of the Royal Society. Entries are received from schools in Taupo, Reporoa, Rotorua, Tauranga, Katikati and Mt. Maunganui
NIWA is a major sponsor of the Auckland, Waikato, Wellington, Nelson, and Bay of Plenty Science and Technology Fairs. This sponsorship is part of a long term commitment to enhancing science and technology for young New Zealanders. As part of this commitment, NIWA also sponsors the NIWA Discovery Room, an interactive marine discovery centre at Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World.

A charitable wearable arts style fashion show, the Rotorua Wearable Creations 'n Colour Awards showcase the talent of many people from throughout the Bay of Plenty region. The event celebrates the creativity of communities and helps build the confidence and self-esteem of many young people in particular.
Now in its eighth year, it has become one of the events on the Rotorua events calendar.
The show is full of fun and festivity, music and dance, and of course, wonderful and sometimes weird, colour creations.

Rotorua Dog Show 2010

Held at the International Stadium, Devon Street West Rotorua, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September 2010.
Separate shows each day where hundreds of dogs of approximately 100 different breeds will be exhibited. There will also be demonstrations of other Canine Disciplines such as obedience andamp; agility.
Plus stalls for the purchase of canine paraphernalia.
Gates open to the public from 9 am until 3 pm
Entry by gold coin donation - Free Parking
For anyone interested in buying or owning a pedigree dog this is a must to visit the top breeders in the country who are only too pleased to discuss their particular breeds.
Red Stag Redwoods Forest Relay

The Red Stag Redwoods Forest Relay is open to running and walking clubs, schools, corporate and social teams over a distance of 5km for adults and 3.2k for youth grades.
Based at the information centre on Long Mile Road, the relay is held in the iconic and beautiful Redwoods and adjacent to the forest nursery.
It is rated as the best relay of its kind in NZ with approximately 140 teams participating coming from all over the North Island.
There is a large range of team and spot prizes available for competitors to win.
Cost to enter:
5 Person Team $80.00, 2 Person Walk Team $32.00, 4 Person Youth Team $48.00
