Have you got what it takes to play in our summer lawn bowls league - Mates In Bowls?
All you need is a few good mates, a good sense of humour and flat soled shoes. We've got awesome bar prices (to help quench your thirst) and if you've never played before, don't worry, we'll guide you and even provide the bowls! Even better, it doesn't cost a fortune and anyone can play!
Second Series commences 14th January 2010.

Featuring an all-star line-up of ex-Fugees front man WYCLEF JEAN, son of Bob Marley JULIAN MARLEY, SHAGGY, SEAN KINGSTON plus legends STEEL PULSE and SLY & ROBBIE, fans will be feeling more than alright as they soak up over ten hours funk, dub, hip-hop, soul and of course reggae riddims!

King and Queen of the Lake awarded to the male and female who do the best in all 3 events. -Aquathon, 2km swim and Sprint Triathlon.

The most spectacular off-road half marathon in the country held in the magnificent Whakarewarewa Forest. The scenic two lap course utilises scenic forest trails and smooth gravel forest roads. An exciting option to the andfrac12; Marathon is the New Balance 10k Fun Run/Walk - this non competitive event is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities with the course using scenic forest trails and smooth gravel forest roads. All events start and finish at the Waipa Sawmill Recreation area. Special kids events for children aged 4 through to 12 years make this the perfect day out for all the family.

Open to anyone with a bike! This legendary road cycling event takes competitors on a fast, fun and scenic journey from one world famous tourist destination to another.
Cyclists have the option of riding solo or in relay teams of two with drink/aid stations provided along the way.
The event hosted 3800 riders in 2009 and the organizers are expecting to exceed 4000 riders for 2010.
As an added incentive all competitors are eligible to win over $100,000 in spot prizes and giveaways, so dust of that bike and join in the fun.

New Zealand Forestry Industries 2010 The New Zealand Forest Industries Expo will be held at the Energy Events Centre - EEC Rotorua in Rotorua and it's all about timber, technology and opportunity.
The car park will be used for displays as well as any heavy machinery which can not be taken into the EEC. A display area next door at the Government Gardens Golf driving range is for heavy equipment and demos.
